Ok, who am I? My 'real' first name is Michael. The 'Fritz' comes in part from my German ancestry and in part from the fact that I do resmble Fritz the Cat a bit in stature. I started to fly helis in 1996 just after I seperated from the Navy. I learned on a Schluter Champion in my Moms backyard where I lived until I got this job. Now I work for the Navy as a contractor, providing technical and engineering assistance for the Lockheed P-3 Orion Maritime Patrol Aircraft Avionics Suite. My work is based in New Orleans, Louisiana where Patrol Squadron 94 'The Crawfishers' is stationed at Belle Chasse Naval Air Station. Aside from flying and crashing RC Helis I also fly RC planks er airplanes and gliders. I have a Private Pilot Certificate but due to a variety of reasons I keep myself grounded. For outdoor stuff I like to ride my Diamod Back mountain bike. Always flirting with death when I do that here in 'Nawlins. Just too hot with body armor and that darn AR-15 keeps hitting the bike frame. My new ride is a 2000 Ford F150 Extented Cab XLT 2wd pickup in Island Blue. Great to have all that room in the back for helis and planes. I got a payraise last March so that's why I was able to afford the obscene price for the truck and insurance.
Here is a pic of my Cat. Ok, he's not MY cat but he considers me a prime food provider when he deigns to show up at my door. His name is 'Komon'. I kept calling him when he was still shy to "come on, get your food". The name stuck.
