Clutch bolts on ARF versions of the Nexus have been known to shear. Inspect and reinstall bolts with loctite.
Main blades furnished in the kits are suspected of causing tracking problems, get a different pair and try them out (you're going to need them eventually anyway).
Plastic balls wear out quick, keep an eye out for excess wear and do good preflights.
Parts pricing is also higher than competitive machines.
Tail yoke threads striping off the slide bushing. Analysis: The standard tail has bushings that stay fixed within the tail pitch ring. These bushings make direct contact with the tail pitch yoke. The yoke in turn, reverse threads on the slide, with no backup to sung the yoke on to the slide. This area heats from friction, and will break loose, sloppy enough to bring the heli down. The solution: Replace the bushings that press into the tail pitch ring with bearings(H3048), $11.04. Add a reverse threaded back up ring that holds the yoke snug to the slide.(with tail slide ring set H3045) $8.49 (lot of $ for a tiny nut) This assumes that the yoke is still in good shape, if not (H 3123) $9.34
Nexus 46 Deluxe
The Deluxe is a aerobatic and much improved version of the basic Nexus. A worthy succesor to the SRX.
The 46 version comes with the excellent OS46FXH and a U$ 100 Hatori muffler. A good bargain for a great performer.
Nexus Legatto 4 stroke
The Legatto 4 stroke comes with the OS52 Surpass. Some pilots say it flys great, others say it's a lead sled. But gas milage is great and noise is fairly low.
The exhaust needs some work. The couplers fail frequently with the high exhaust temperature.
A fuel shutoff clip is required on the carb line. The engine/carb sits so low in relation to the tank, the fuel drains out the carb intake via gravity feed.
